QuiiQ is up and kicking

We know, we don´t write anything in this blog for a while.... But it is for a good reason! I the las week we launched a new version of QuiiQ AUTOMATION and QuiiQ MOVIES!!!

Starting with QuiiQ MOVIES, beside a few miner bug corrections, we improved your user experience by optimazing the way you interact with QuiiQ MOVIES and by implementing the back button of your remote in QuiiQ MOVIES, know you can use it to navigate inside QuiiQ MOVIES! 

On the other hand, with QuiiQ MOVIES 1.2 you can play your favorite DVD in your Xbox 360 through your Vista Media Center Computer!! Is this cool or what?:) For this to be possible you just need to import your DVD to QuiiQ MOVIES, using the "Import to File" property.

But that is enough about QuiiQ MOVIES, we gave you the news, to see and experience (yes QuiiQ MOVIES is all about user experience ans entertainment!) this product, just download your trial version from our web site!.

Now, QuiiQ AUTOMATION. Yes this as a new version to.... we are working hard to bring to you the best user experience and the best usability and functionality ever! QuiiQ AUTOMATION as a brand new QuiiQ Desktop Client for your laptop, touchscreen or computer. This new version is more stable, faster and better looking than all the previous versions. 

Other Major improvement in QuiiQ AUTOMATION are the approved cameras range is getting bigger and bigger, video vigilance inside automation in conjunction with entertainment? This is really a great world full of cool stuff!

QuiiQ MOVIES its easier and more powerfull!

we have some awesome news for you!

You can now run QuiiQ MOVIES in your 64-bit windows vista machine... Imagine what you can do with more than 3gb of RAM? More information, faster information, faster and better QuiiQ MOVIES! :)

For those of you who use a movies collection manager software called My Movies, is now time to change to QuiiQ MOVIES. Beside all the reasons we can give you to change to QuiiQ MOVIES, there is always a question: But all my information is in MyMovies... I don´t want to insert all that information again!

Well people we have some good news.. You don´t need to insert all that information again, just export your MyMovies database to XML and import it with QuiiQ MOVIES... Like magic, all your information is now in the most advanced movies management software!

This are the two main features implemented in the new release of QuiiQ MOVIES. The official communication will be made soon...

QuiiQ AUTOMATION 1.7 is up in the air...

Is with pleasure that we present you QuiiQ AUTOMATION 1.7. QuiiQ AUTOMATION is full of new and exciting features that will allow you to take full control of your house.

Among the most exciting new features, in our opinion, is the control of HVAC, alarms equipment and integrating your video surveillance system with QuiiQ, bringing you a all new world of integration and control.

But new controlling features are not the only breakthrough of QuiiQ AUTOMATION 1.7. the QuiiQ Media.Center Client as been redesign and is now faster, more reliable and even more stable than its previous brother (version 1.5).

For all of you that don´t use KNX, domintell or cardio, QuiiQ AUTOMATION 1.7 is going to work on top of C-BUS and iDom protocols to, really soon this versions will be available in our web site, and the compatibility with older domotic installation is guaranteed, so QuiiQ AUTOMATION 1.7 will work smoothly with them to.

QuiiQ MOVIES WebService Issue.

There is an issue regarding the QuiiQ MOVIES Webservice.

If you keep getting an error while trying to connect to QuiiQ MOVIES Collector, Projector and Collection Manager; please do the following procedures:

1. start QuiiQ MOVIES Control Center.
2. "right-click" the Control Center icon in the "icon tray" (near the windows vista clock).
3. select the option "Network service".

If all sub-options are disabled (like in the picture) there is a problem with the Webservice that QuiiQ MOVIES uses.


--- WHO'S AFFECTED ---
User of some OEM Vista systems, predominantly using non-US versions of windows vista.

--- POSSIBLE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM ---
Windows Vista "Star Menu" junction point in the "C:\ProgramData" folder is broken.

--- TEST THE PROBLEM ---

1. Open Windows Explorer window.
2. Type "C:\ProgramData\Start Menu\Programs" in the address bar and hit the "Enter" key.

If you got an error message, then the problem exists.

--- SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM ---

1. Uninstall QuiiQ MOVIES.
2. Please download this archive (click here to download).
3. Unzip and save the "BAT" file on your computer.
4. "Righ-click" the file and select the option "Run as administrator".
5. Open Windows Explorer window.
6. Type "C:\ProgramData\Start Menu\Programs" in the address bar and hit the "Enter" key. To see if every thing works now.
7. Install QuiiQ MOVIES.

Finally Launched!!!

Finally the QuiiQ MOVIES website has been launched.

We're really sorry for the delay but our website was moved to a server in the U.S. and some errors (as usual) appeared during the operation...

Never the less we're really happy to finally release this product into the market. We think (and hope) it will make the difference in peoples homes giving them the possibility to store and view movies in a more comfortable and easy way. Of course we might be "aiming hie" but your feedback and suggestions are always welcome.

You can download the product in our website and have a 15 days trial for free. The trial doesn't "limit the experience" every thing is enabled during those 15 days has a "BASE Licence".
